ONE YEAR WITH CHICA BEAUTY: HOW TWO LATINX SISTERS HAVE KEPT THEIR BUSINESS THRIVING WITH SELFLESSNESS, WOMEN EMPOWERMENT AND SISTERHOOD
Chica Beauty started one year ago when the founders of ChicaGirl Magazine decided to expand their dreams of empowering women and giving back to their communities. Sisters Mei-Lon and Toni Lee Jimenez announced their beauty brand only last November with simple-yet-quality products, generational empowerment of real and diverse women, and giving back through their ‘Chica Gives’ program. Past giving partners include: Incarnate Word High School, Girls Inc., Dress for Success, SJRC Texas, Family Violence & Prevention Services, and Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas.
Chica Beauty is a brand that embraces all the different meanings of beauty. “Rather than trying to cover you up or reshape you, our brand focuses on products that help bring confidence from within,” says Mei-Lon Jimenez. Having been founded by minority sisters, the Chica Beauty family is made up of individuals who know that we all look different. That’s what makes us beautiful.
Chica Beauty asks you to simply trust them and their products, because their goal is to simplify the beauty industry and process for women. Co-founder Toni Lee Jimenez says, “We understand that women are busy and always on the go and are we here to help simplify their beauty routines.” For the past year, Chica Beauty has come out with three sets, “PLAY,” “HUSTLE” and “BOSS/JEFA.” Chica Beauty aims to bring you the essentials you need to be naturally confident in your own skin—nothing more, nothing less.
This year, in celebration of their FIRST BIRTHDAY, Chica Beauty is thrilled to announce their 2020 Holiday Collection, which have been crafted to perfection for a woman’s every need. From the “I WANT IT ALL” set, which includes each of Chica Beauty’s products, to “THE Eyelash Curler,” the rose gold superstar of eyelash curlers, to the “Eye” and “Lip” sets that offer our products in every color for the woman with many moods.
Toni and Mei-Lon have been on a mission to empower girls to be their authentic selves since 2007, when they founded ChicaGirl Magazine. Their businesses have always stemmed from their roots of empowering real girls to be their authentic selves and to inspire the connections of sisterhood. The sisters’ selflessness and activist mission is displayed in the ways they have given back to their communities. We are more than just a makeup company; we care about supporting and giving back to our community. In addition, their products are cruelty-free, paraben-free, and environmentally friendly.
